ENERGY STAR Certification for Three Honda Plants

If you’re concerned about the environment and would say that your selection of a vehicle depends on an auto manufacturer’s dedication to the topic, you will be interested in this news. Honda was recently recognized at three U.S. plants for ENERGY STAR certification. This certification, through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is highly sought after by many companies.

The process can be somewhat long and detailed with eight steps, each of which must be documented. Each of the steps must be completed fully and include things like: assembling a team, setting an energy performance goal and then tracking those efforts, and applications for ENERGY STAR certification, among several others.

In Ohio, two of Honda’s automobile manufacturing plants recently earned the EPAs ENERGY STAR certification for the 10th consecutive year. Additionally, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana LLC has been certified for the past four years.

New and innovative techniques have been applied each year to continue ENERGY STAR certification year after year.
