Honda has renewed their commitment to the environment by continuing to produce the Civic CNG - the only OEM built, dedicated natural gas passenger vehicle assembled in America and info is available at DCH Gardena Honda serving Los Angeles.
You want a green car? Forget the Prius... the Honda Civic CNG has been at the top of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy's list of greenest cars for eight years straight!
The Civic CNG beat out all competitors once again, including the Nissan Leaf, the Toyota Prius, and the Chevrolet Volt.
On top of that, compressed natural gas (CNG), the fuel that the CNG runs on, is averaging closer to $2.50/gallon than the $4.00/gallon of conventional gasoline.
The Civic CNG has an advantage over hybrids, too... carpool stickers that are valid through 2015. The yellow stickers that used to be on all of the Prius hybrids are no more... As of July 1st, 2011, only white carpool stickers are valid in California.
Natural gas vehicles (or NGV), like the Honda Civic CNG, are eligible for the new white stickers..
