When Should My Timing Belt Be Changed?

Practically every new vehicle has a timing belt, and that small device is a vital part of the engine. That is why drivers should have their timing belts replaced well before they become damaged or rip entirely. Allowing your timing belt to fray or tear could result in thousands of dollars in repairs down the road.

As a general rule, our service team recommends that timing belts should be replaced every 100,000 miles. That being said, you must always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Some vehicle manufacturers recommend changing timing belts as often as once every 60,000 miles.

The team here at DCH Gardena Honda can help you carry out a wide variety of maintenance tasks, and that includes changing timing belts. We invite you to contact us or stop by today to schedule your next service call.
